Annual, semi-anonymous, themed gift exchanges hosted on AO3 by Fragile Little Teacup.All FLT gift exchanges are curated to support, encourage, and promote the creative expression of bottom/penetrated Hannibal & Mads HEU Character content.What is a gift exchange?A fandom run gift exchange is an event hosted on AO3 (where you will sign-up and post to) in which event moderators assign you to create a fanwork gift for another participant. All works are required to be finished by a set deadline and remain anonymous until the official "reveal" date.The goal of our events is to positively engage with our fandom community and inspire creativity. What better way to do so than with gifts curated special for one another? ♥

PLEASE CONTACT OUR EVENT MODERATORS SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS:

  • Am I required to have a twitter or tumblr account to participate? No, you are not! Only an AO3 account is required. However, if you do have those accounts and decide to promote your gift exchange piece on there AFTER the collection reveal date, we encourage you to use our hashtag #FLTexchange so that we can share and boost your post. ♥

  • Can I use a another account to sign up more than once? Out of fairness for everyone, our answer at this time is NO.

  • What is a pinch hitter? If you sign up for the gift exchange, you have the option to opt in as a "pinch hitter". In the event someone drops out or defaults in the gift exchange, we will reach out and assign a pinch hitter to assist in fulfilling that assignment. A pinch hitter is someone who is able to work in a very limited time constraint and deliver a finished piece that follows our guidelines and meets our minimum requirements.

  • How will you be in contact with us? After you sign-up to the gift exchange on AO3, any and all updates and information will be on our carrd, social media accounts, and discord server. Any communications or check-ins between you and our event moderators will either be via email or discord.

  • Can I still join even if I've never done something like this before? ABSOLUTELY! We encourage anyone and everyone who is interested in participating in our gift exchanges to do so, regardless of past experience. If you are confused, struggling, or need help - please contact our event moderators to walk you through any steps or issues, or if you'd prefer a group setting instead, you are free to join our discord community where we offer live assistance as well as video streams/walkthroughs for those who are visual learners.

  • Can I submit something else as a gift? At this time, we are only accepting written works and traditional/digital artwork for all FLT gift exchanges.

ALL PARTICIPANTS OF & CONTENT CREATED FOR OUR EXCHANGES MUST ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

  2. Bottom/Penetrated Mads Character content ONLY. (Penetrations can range from anally, vaginally, orally, or something more abstract like wound-fucking.)

  3. Switching is permitted, as long as MAJORITY of your creation adheres to Rule # 2.

  4. If you choose to utilize Power Dynamics or BDSM roles in your creation, that is up to your discretion and not at all a requirement! (We strongly encourage variety. As a community, we love Dominant PowerBottom Hannibal just as much as we love Submissive SimperingBottom Hannibal — and everything in between. ♥)

  5. Do NOT share who your assignment is or any detailed ideas/brainstorming/wip snippets for your creation anywhere prior to the scheduled reveal date. The anonymity is part of the fun. Please don't ruin it for others!

  6. Works submitted for this challenge must be NEW and/or previously UNPUBLISHED.

  7. Any and all potential pairings must involve at least ONE Mads HEU Character (ex: Hannibal, Nigel, Markus, Lenny, etc.) in your creation. This means that Mads x Mads HEU pairings are also permitted.

  8. If you DEFAULT on the gift exchange, you will not be allowed to participate in the next FLT gift exchange. This is a one-time penalty. After 3 consecutive default penalties, you will be banned from participating in all future FLT gift exchanges. (We define "default" as either "ghosting" or failing to post your creation by the final submission deadline.)

  9. If you signed up for the gift exchange but need to DROP OUT (for any reason), you will NOT be penalized as long as you: notify the event moderators a week (7 days) BEFORE the final submission deadline.

  10. Our gift exchanges are DEAD DOVE inclusive! Our definition of fictional Dead Dove content includes, but is not limited to: Non-con/rape, incest, underage, bestiality, and necrophilia. If you choose to create Dead Dove content for the gift exchange, you must WARN & TAG for it appropriately. This also applies to outright or implied Major Character Death(s). (Note: Ambiguous or open-to-interpretation endings must be tagged as such BUT they do NOT always require a MCD warning, so please check with an event moderator for help if you are unsure. We understand and support those who don't wish to over-tag or spoil their creations, but since we are hosting a gift exchange that is open to everyone in the Hannibal/HEU fandom, we want to ensure our creators and their audiences are able to navigate safely throughout our AO3 collections.

All creators (writers and artists) MUST have an AO3 account in order to sign-up for the gift exchange and to post the final work to our gift exchange collection. (Note: Our gift exchange collections are programmed to be ANONYMOUS automatically when one is in progress. All submitted works in these gift exchange collections are programmed to automatically REVEAL a week (7 days) after final submissions are due. Please refer to the schedule below.)If you do NOT have an AO3 account but you would like to participate, please contact our event moderators so that we can send you an AO3 invite to sign-up for an account.
